Katrina here… just your average suburban wife, mama, coffee drinking, country music loving, Netflix binging, ice cream eating, sushi connoisseur, hopeless romantic, old soul whose loving life to the fullest right now. My faith is stronger than ever and inspiration is always welcome this way! So about me? Well since I’ve crossed into my 30’s I’ve never appreciated life more. Family and Faith are my number ones right now. My husband and my son are my absolute everything. So here I am doing what I have wanted to do for years; Sharing my love for home decor, my imperfectly perfect life and the people, things and places that feed my soul. So welcome to Home.Life.Soul.
I’ve always been a dreamer, a doer and a risk taker. I’m a believer of working hard and playing harder. I find that the most important qualities in a person are humility, empathy and kindness. So every day I try to emulate that. But trust me, I am nowhere near perfect. I grew up in a small suburban town outside of sunny Los Angeles, CA in what some would call chaos, but we called family. I started reading young and I’ve been in love with books ever since I can remember. I love seeing the world through different eyes and perspectives, fiction or not. So over the years I have learned to not judge so quickly, because we do not know the path people have taken to get where they are today.
I graduated with a Communications degree from Cal State Fullerton, Go TITANS! I was a proud member of the Alpha Chi Omega national sorority (sometimes I feel as if sorority were my true major lol). I feel this is the chapter in my life where I grew up and found myself. This is also said chapter where I met the one whom my soul loves. Queue in my amazing husband, Michael. Swoon. I don’t know how I got so lucky. He is handsome, loyal, intelligent and we just enjoy laughing together or at each other, because we have such different humor. But either way it makes us laugh till we cry. I am the visionary and he makes my ideas come to life (no matter how terrible I sketch what I see in my mind on paper lol). From the moment we started dating we’ve worked hard in our careers and traveled to amazing places all around the world. Michael is a Civil Engineer and myself in Outside Sales. We have truly built the life we have together and we have the biggest fans in our family and friends always on the side lines cheering us on. With the new addition of our son Nicolas, life couldn’t be more beautiful.
So anyway, that brings us up to speed to the present. Here we are to show you our awesome home projects that are mostly giving our new construction townhouse an old craftsman feel on the inside, style and design tips, sharing inspiration and taking you around the world with us.
